As I look out of my office window at Bandar Baru Tanjong Manis, Mukah. I see a constant reminder of the challenges we face as Govt try to integrate ever increasing developments of Tanjong Manis areas into rapidly expanding urban areas. Tanjong Manis anchorage port is famous for being one of the most congested anchorage ports on the planet. Every day, just-in-time shipment, lighter, barges, fishing boat, speedboat, ferry boat serve the anchorage of Tanjong Manis, economic engines for all timber related industry and fishing related industry.
"The costs of the solutions will be enormous; the cost of inaction are for greater"
None of these possibilities, no matter how successful or brilliant, can work in every case or solve every problem. Most importantly, we must engage a willing and informed population the costs of the solutions will be enormous the costs of inactions are far greater.
